Yep, I'm still here. Haven't done much photography recently, though we did have a freak snow day last month and I was able to get some shots in then. Now I'm working on a new painting. Haven't painted in a while, but this piece is proving to be a bit of a challenge, as it involves fabric and tapestry. I just need to look to Vermeer and Rembrandt for inspiration when it comes to capturing textiles in acrylic.
As you by now have most likely realized I got a new camera for christmas and have been bitten by the photography bug. However, living in the suburbs I find that I'm running out of things to photograph. I wish there were more interesting things around me to take pictures of. Since it's winter I'm not able to photograph flowers and plants as I'd like to (and most likely will in the spring/early summer). If anyone has any ideas of things in the suburbs that might make an interesting photo don't hesitate to share them.
I will soon be going back to school, so maybe I'll have some photo-ops on campus (hopefully!). I'm so jealous of my brother for living in the city and having better things to capture >.> I'll just have to come up with some brilliant ideas-preferably before I become too swamped with school work to execute them.
Was just invite to join Phi Theta Kappa. I'm really excited. This comes up right at the point in my academic career where I'm starting to run low on self-esteem and confidence. The universe must be looking out for me.
Just an update to let everyone know; the reason I've not uploaded anything lately is because I can't find my camera, and the other cameras we have are screwy I'm trying to find mine so I can get back to taking photos from my garden (hopefully before everything else in the garden starts blooming).
It seems photography has become a new interest of mine. I've been somewhat hesitant about posting my photography on here in the past, since I don't really know what others may consider to be good or bad. Lately, however, I've decided that I'll post some that I'm fond of. I do a lot of traveling in the northern states during the spring and winter seasons, so most of my photos are probably taken then. But since spring is starting early in Texas I'm planning to photograph the new life around me whenever possible.

As you can probably tell from my page, I've been doing a lot of crochet stuff lately (amigurumi animals). I've just gotten a LOAD of new patterns, so I will be making pleanty more while I'm on vacation in May. When I get back I'll put them all up (unless I just can't wait to show them to you, in which case I'll put them on right away). I would be happy to take any requests for my next animal to make. I plan on making a little white cat from the anime Bottle Faries (which I haven't seen yet, but the cat is cute, so I'm gonna make it). Also, I'm probably also going to make a big stuffed dog as well. Anyway, those are my thoughts.
